March:
- Spring Break: March 18th through March 24th.
- Classes Resume Monday, March 25th
April:
- April 6th (8am-10am): ORAD/CDE Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s.
- Tickets will be sold by all Company Members beginning March 6th
- Proceeds support the Spring Recital
- April 7th (Beginning at 1:30pm): Studio Auditions for the following:
- CDE Company Classes
- ORDTTA Basketball
- Non-Travel Competition Teams
- ORDTTA Nationals Teams
- April 29th: Spring and CDE Recital Tickets on sale at Knoxville Civic Auditorium
May:
- May 20th through May 23rd: Recital Rehearsal Week at ORAD
- May 28th through May 29th: Dress Rehearsal at Knoxville Civic Auditorium
June:
- June 1st: Spring Recital for Afternoon Review and Evening Extravaganza
- June 2nd: CDE (Contemporary Dance Ensemble) Concert
- Class Schedules will be e-mailed out over the Summer (June/July)
- June 11th through June 14th: UDA Camp at TTU (Tennessee Tech University).
- This is for rising 5th graders and up.
- Summer Technique Classes: Monday’s and Thursday’s.
- Ages 9-13yrs: 6-7pm
- Ages 14 and up: 7-8pm
- Classes are $5 each, due at the door.
- Come to as many as you want
- Summer Tumbling Classes: Every Tuesday
- Reserve your spot after the Spring Recital (See Recital Program for details)
July:
- Summer Enrichment: July 15th through 19th
- Ages 3-12yrs
- Summer Intensive: July 15th through July 18th
- Ages 13 and up
August:
- 2019-2020 Classes Begin August 12th
General Info
Students have opportunities for professional performances both locally and nationally.
Dancers will benefit from the latest teaching techniques available.
Students at the Academy benefit from specialized training programs such as:
- Student Instructor- (Teacher Training Program)
- Traveling Competition Teams
- Dance Teams
- Pre-Collegiate Programs
Specialized Training Programs
There are specialized training programs also available in Preschool and Adult Classes.
Perks
ORAD Students will be trained in a positive and professional atmosphere in the class room with instructors who are educated in the latest teaching techniques available, with specialized training programs also available in Preschool and Adult Classes.
ORAD Students will participate in professional performances and concerts. Available to them is a wide variety of dance styles in which to train in.
ORAD Students will benefit from specialized training programs such as: Traveling Competition Teams, Dance Teams, and Pre-Collegiate Programs.
ORAD Students will have opportunities for Master Classes and organized travel to training dance conventions and clinics.
ORAD Students will receive a free complementary t-shirt at the Recital as a Finale Present as a thank-you from the staff for their hard work all season long.
ORAD Parents will have the luxury of watching the classroom in progress with video feed on TV monitors in the Lobby.
ORAD Parents and Students will be given a free DVD of the spring recital performances.
